Journey Group Leaders
One of the most important things we do at Discovery is to provide space for people to regularly connect with people each other and Jesus throughout the week. We mimic God's open-armed, risky hospitality by welcoming others into our homes, time, and attention. Healing the brokenness in us and between us is only fully done, ironically by regularly investing in each other.
As followers of Jesus, we're called to be pastors. You too. Not just because you're a leader, but you do have a significant opportunity in this position to love others like Jesus would. We want to equip and empower you to get better and better at that.

Everyone in our church can have access to a library of THOUSANDS of resources meant to shape and grow your relationship with God, the Bible, and each other. We're consitently scouring their resources and providing updated recommendations through our dedicated channel on the sidebar. Check that out if you're looking for some inspiration. We recommend using material that is no longer than 20 minutes per session and has been made within the last five years. Those things specifically branded by RightNow Media are typically the best quality resources.
Get your own subscription or share this link with anyone in our church to offer them these free resources too. Make sure to remind them that it's a FREE gift.
One of the simplist and most effective ways to serve someone through a major life event, crisis, or challenge is to organize meal for the family. Not only does it provide for their most immediate needs, it also gives individuals an opportunity to potentially connect upon delivery.
Christian Counseling Collaborative
Journey Groups can be a place that people finally get real and open up about what's going on in their lives. Your encouragement, acceptance, truth, and listening ear will go a long way in helping most people through difficult seasons. However, sometimes we need a little more help.
We love counselling at Discovery. If you find yourself journeying with someone that needs a little more care, you can (1) send them our way or (2) refer them to this excellent organization. This is an intake number and website. They just need to follow the prompts and this organization will connect them with a phenomenal counsellor.
